Bayside Wire Designs
Since 2005
My Artistic abilities are a gift transmitted to me by my father who received it from his father. Although I believe, in the end, everyone around us influences and contributes in who we become. We constantly grow by feeding off their experiences, their knowledge, their abilities and their qualities.
Ever since I can remember, my family has been crafting beautiful things: guitars, wood sculptures, toys, paintings, drawings, furniture, clothing, photography, dance and more…
I can only hope to continue this beautiful tradition with my jewelry and glass creations.
My love of nature, especially the sea, transpires in many of my creations. My husband and I, with my little dog Sammy, comb the beautiful beaches of the Bay of Chaleur in search for her little treasures. Each stone, shell and sea glass we uncover inspires a new design.
Although I do make collections (a series of one particular design) for my catalogue, you’ll rarely see collections in my store. I prefer to make each piece a labor of love with its own label of uniqueness; it’s more work, but it’s much more interesting for me.
Everything we sell in our shoppe is unique and handcrafted. We’re honored and proud todisplay the works of other local artists such as Monique Brown with her beautiful pottery; Luce Bujold-Dubé with her abstract paintings, André-Marc Bénard with his scenic paintings; Patrick Bertin (my father) with his scenic photography; Monique Bertin Gagnon (my sister) with her abstract photography.
I sure hope you have a chance to drop by our little store.
It’s charming with lots of friendly, Maritime hospitality!
